Stanley’s Kids is a non-profit mission organization based in Managua, Nicaragua whose goal is to give aid and support to children with special needs. Stanley Vallecillo was a vibrant, 7 year old boy in Managua who thrived even though he suffered from Down Syndrome. His smile would light up a room and his passion for playing basketball was contagious. On May 1, 2016, Stanley passed away from a tragic accident in his home. His family’s one wish was that his memory would be kept alive by working to help other children like him thrive and live life to the fullest as well.
Stanley’s Kids partnered with Katie Beth Memorial Institute in September of 2017. Beginning in February, 2018, the six children and ten adults with special needs identified in Tomas Borge will have access to an education and socialization.
